Application Procedure

Applicants should apply to HIDA by submitting the application documents to reach HIDA by the deadline described in the program outline of each management training program. The application documents will be forwarded to the HIDA Screening Committee for official approval of participation. Those who have successfully passed the screening process will be notified when they receive the invitation documents. The schedule of procedure is as in the table below.

PUBLICO ALVO: Executivo de empresa com responsibilidade de decidir politicas/estratégias, estilos de produção, etc na área de manufatura de sua própria empresa e/ou; gerente sênior com responsabilidade executiva , ou do Staff de empresa publica e/ou de associações de negócios e/ou; pesquisadores, palestrantes em institutos de educação e/ou; consultores de negócios Idade mínima 25 , máxima 60 anos, com 3 anos ou mais de experiências de negócios e, com conhecimento de trabalho da língua inglesa falada e escrita.

OBJETIVOS DO PROGRAMA : 

> Aprofundar o entendimento do "MONOZUKURI", cultura de manufatura e politica de gerenciamento das empresas automobilísticas japonesas;

> Adquirir os métodos para aplicar os principais componentes do sistema Toyota de produção que são derivados de sua cultura corporativa e, ter uma visão geral de todo o sistema;

> Aprender o espírito e as técnicas do sistema de manufatura japonês para fortalecer sua própria empresa pela customização do Sistema Toyota em beneficio do seu sistema de produção.


PROCEDIMENTO DE INSCRIÇÃO:

Interessado prepara a documentação necessária (interessados devem solicitar) e entrega para a AOTS Alumni do Rio de Janeiro. Data limite para chegada da documentação no Japão : 17 de junho de 2013

Documentação é analisada por um Comitê Avaliador da HIDA do Japão : em 18 de julho de 2013. que informa o resultado em seguida.

AOTS Rio de Janeiro recebe até 26 de julho de 2013 a documentação pessoal do candidato aprovado e providencia a entrega ao candidato.

Visto de Trainee é providenciado no Consulado do Japão da jurisdição de residência do candidato.

A passagem de ida e volta ao Japão é providenciada e o candidato recebe todas as orientações necessárias para a viagem e estadia no Japão por membros da AOTS Alumni do Rio de Janeiro.

Aeroporto de entrada e saída no Japão : Chubu de Nagoya. 

Data prevista de chegada : 27 de agosto de 2013 (terça-feira);

Data de partida : 07 de setembro de 2013(sábado);

Previsão de investimento cobrindo viagem de ida e volta ao Japão em classe econômica, translados no Japão, estadia e o Curso no Centro de Treinamento, as Refeições, visitas incluídas no Programa : R$ 11.000,00.

Não estão incluídos passagens e translado em trechos de viagem no Brasil, despesas pessoais, passeios e refeições fora das condições estipuladas no folder. Não será permitido o acompanhamento de familiares; não serão incluídos paradas na viagem de ida e volta ao Japão que, não seja por motivo de escala de voo; é solicitado ao candidato aprovado não agendar outros programas durante a realização do Curso. Treinamento no Japão - PQPS

A AOTS Alumni do Rio de Janeiro, em conjunto com a HIDA (The Overseas Human Resources and Industry Development Association) e seu departamento AOTS (The Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship), tem o prazer de informar sobre a realização de Programa de Qualidade no Japão, que tem parte dos custos subsidiados pelo governo japonês, com o seguinte detalhamento:
 

PQPS- The Program for Quality Problem Solving


Período de Realização :22 de agosto a 4 de setembro de 2012 (2 semanas de duração)

Local: TKC - Tokyo Kenshu Center - Tokyo, Japão

Público-alvo : Engenheiros, Gerentes ou Supervisores de indústrias de manufatura, em nível operacional. Podem ser iniciantes ou com pouca experiência na área de qualidade.

Idade: De 25 a 60 anos.

Os participantes devem ter conhecimento de inglês suficiente para entender palestras, participar de discussões, fazer apresentações e preparar relatórios.

Objetivos do Programa:

­Fornecer abordagens e prover as Técnicas para a Melhoria de Qualidade através de palestras, estudos de casos, exercícios e em visitas a empresas;

­Fazer com que o participante melhore suas habilidades de resolver problemas e com isto promova e lidere melhorias em seu local de trabalho.

O processo de inscrição será realizado em duas etapas:

1ª - Preparação da documentação necessária do candidato e encaminhamento para o Japão. A data limite para chegada de toda documentação na AOTS do Japão é 18/06/2012.

2ª - Processo seletivo por um Comitê da AOTS do Japão, que ocorrerá em 19 de julho próximo, que decidirá pela seleção e indicação dos participantes.

Investimento do participante: A parte que cabe ao aprovado em participar no programa, já excluído o subsídio oferecido pelo governo japonês é da ordem de R$ 10.000,00 que será pago somente pelo candidato que for aprovado pelo Comitê. Data limite para o pagamento do investimento: 24 de julho de 2012.

Neste Investimento estão incluídos: passagem ida e volta São Paulo/Tokyo/São Paulo em voo classe econômica, despesas de envio do material de inscrição para AOTS do Japão e contatos, traslados no Japão, o curso propriamente dito, estadia, refeições, visitas a empresas (que estejam incluídos no "Tentative Schedule" do folder de divulgação), pagamento de "participation fee" e "contribution fee" no Japão.

Não estão incluídos: traslados no Brasil, despesas pessoais, passeios e refeições fora das condições estipuladas na divulgação.

A data de chegada no Japão será no dia 21 de agosto de 2012 (terça-feira) e a data de retorno ocorrerá no dia 5 de setembro de 2012 (quarta-feira).

No folder de divulgação estão mais informações sobre esse programa.

Não será permitido o acompanhamento de familiares; não serão incluídas paradas na viagem de ida e volta ao Japão que não seja por motivo de escala de voo; é solicitado ao candidato aprovado não agendar outros programas durante a realização do Curso.

Data de realização: 11 a 20 de julho de 2012 (10 dias de duração).
Local: CKC(Chubu Kenshu Center) em Nagoya.
Publico alvo : Executivos de empresa que estejam ocupando posição que decide politicas, estratégias, estilos de produção no setor de manufatura; gerente senior que tenha uma posição semelhante, efetiva ou potencial, no staff de empresa pública, de associações de negocios; pesquisadores, palestrantes em institutos de educação; consultores de negocios. Idade minima 25 anos e maxima 60 anos, com bom conhecimento da lingua inglesa falada e escrita.
Objetivos do Programa:
-Aprofundar o entendimento do "MONOZUKURI", cultura de manufatura e política de gerenciamento das empresas automobilísticas japonesas;
-Adquirir os métodos para aplicar os principais componentes do sistema Toyota de produção que são derivados de sua cultura corporativa e ter uma visão geral de todo o sistema;

Está aberto o processo de inscrição que será efetuado em 2 etapas:
1º - Preparação da documentação necessária do candidato com a ajuda da AOTS Rio de Janeiro, que fornecerá a lista dos documentos e formulários, bem como dará todo o suporte na preparação, envio e fará contatos com o Japão. A data limite para chegada de toda documentação na AOTS do Japão é 21 de maio próximo.
2º - Processo seletivo por um Comitê da AOTS do Japão, que em 7 de junho próximo se reunirá e decidirá sobre a aprovação ou não do candidato.
Investimento: R$ 9.900,00 que será pago somente pelo candidato que for aprovado pelo Comitê. Formas de pagamento serão informadas após inscrição.
Neste Investimento estão incluidas: viagem ida e volta São Paulo/Nagoya/São Paulo em voo classe econômica, despesas de envio do material de inscrição para AOTS do Japão e contatos, translados no Japão, o Curso propriamente dito, as estadias, refeições, study tour/visitas a empresas, que estejam incluídas no "Tentative Schedule" descrito no folder de divulgação, mais o pagamento de "participation fee" e "contribution fee" no Japão.
Não estão incluidos: translados no Brasil, despesas pessoais, passeios e refeições fora das condições estipuladas no folheto de divulgação.

OUTLINE OF THE PROGRAM:


- OBJECTIVES


The objective of this program is to deepen participants’ understanding of the way of thinking behind the “


MONOZUKURI”, or manufacturing, culture and management policy of Japan’s leading car maker, both of which are a source of its competitiveness. The participants will also acquire methods for applying the main components of the Toyota Production System (TPS), which is derived from this corporate culture, and gain a general view of the whole system. The program also aims to have the participants learn the spirit and techniques of Japanese manufacturing and strengthen their own companies by customizing the same for application to their own production systems.

【Step 1


Participants will overview the way of thinking of “MONOZUKURI” or manufacturing, and company philosophies/policies which are the source of competitiveness of Japan’s leading manufacturer, and understand the functions and importance of its production system (TPS). They will also consider ways to apply the same to the production system at their own companies.


【Step 2


Participants will gain understanding of the Just-In-Time system, as well as basic knowledge of production planning and control in order to get insights into more effective and efficient production methods, and also the way of Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD) management through examining how to realize “JIDOKA” or autonomation/ automation with a human touch. In addition, they will also learn the actual steps of TPS by practicing them, while gaining understanding of the theories and importance of “KAIZEN” or improvement activities underlying TPS.


【Step 3


Participants will gain understanding of company philosophies/policies, the production systems, and QCD management methods through visiting companies or organizations where TPS is already implemented.


【Step 4


Participants will examine the philosophies and ideal direction of their own companies, and will also draw up an action plan for improving the production system at their own companies.


A typical daily schedule consists of a 3-hour morning session and a 3-hour afternoon session. Some evening sessions may also be organized after dinner. Please refer to the Tentative Schedule.

All lectures, company visits, group discussion, and exercises will be conducted in English or Japanese with translation into English. The program documents and training materials will be prepared in English.

Mr. Hiromitsu HAYASHIDA Senior Consultant, HIRAYAMA Corporation

Mr. Hayashida worked for many years at Toyota Motor Corporation and was a deputy general manager of its main factory at the time of his retirement. He has rich experience in giving guidance on the Toyota Production System and company wide “KAIZEN” to companies in Japan and overseas.

1. BACKGROUND OF THE PROGRAM:
AOTS - the Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship - is a non-profit association run with Japanese government subsidies from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). Since its establishment in 1959, AOTS has been conducting various technical and management training programs in Japan for the people of developing countries. The total number of participants in past AOTS training programs amounts to almost 155,000 from about 170 developing countries and regions. These former participants are playing very important roles in industry and contributing greatly to the economic development of their respective countries. At the request of former participants of AOTS training programs as well as the industrial and business circles in developing countries, and to meet the needs for human resource development in Japanese affiliated companies, AOTS has been organizing various training programs.
The Leadership Program for Executives (EPLD) is designed as one of AOTS’s flagship courses for all the developing countries to learn business management/administration techniques and their underlying ways of thinking, which are characteristics of Japanese companies. It was established to enable participants to learn about leadership in reference to examples from Japanese companies, combined with an emphasis on the concept of “followership” as exists in a complementary relationship, thereby increasing their range of thinking as a leader. It will contribute to their creation of the organization required to demonstrate appropriate leadership, by means of a comprehensive approach to organizational development.

2. COUNTRY:
Candidates from Brazil are to be accepted.

3. NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS:
25 participants

4. PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS:
Participants should have the following qualifications.
(1) Participants should be, in principle, senior managers, executives or owners of a company or organization.
(2) Participants should be between 25 and 60 years of age, with three years or more of business experience.
(3) Participants should be university graduates and/or have equivalent professional experience.
(4) Participants should have a sufficient working knowledge of English.
(5) Participants should be healthy enough to undergo an intensive training program in Japan.
(6) Participants should be residing in the developing countries or region.
(7) Participants should not be students or armed forces personnel.
(8) AOTS ex-participants who have recently been awarded an AOTS Scholarship and participated in an AOTS training program in Japan are not entitled to apply for any program which starts within six months (183 days) after they have returned home from Japan.
Notes:
(1) In case of Japanese companies and/or companies that have Japanese capital, persons who are engaged in the duties described in the participation requirements are able to participate in this program without regard to their positions.
(2) Family members are not allowed to accompany the participants to Japan.
(3) Participants shall not request AOTS to arrange, nor arrange by themselves, any additional programs, and shall leave Japan and return to their home countries soon after the completion of the program.
(4) The Guarantee Letter, which is one of the invitation documents to be issued by AOTS, shall be used only for the purpose of obtaining a training visa and shall not be used for any other purposes, such as participants’ business.
(5) The number of participants for the same host company or from the same sending company may be limited if there are more applicants than AOTS can accept.

5. APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Applicants should apply to AOTS by submitting the following documents to reach AOTS Head Office by no later than 30 September 2011.

6. OUTLINE OF THE PROGRAM:
- OBJECTIVE
The objective of this course is to enable business leaders to increase their range of thinking as a leader and to contribute to their creation of the organization required to demonstrate appropriate leadership, by means of a comprehensive approach to organizational development.
- DURATION
12 – 23 December 2011 (2 weeks)
- CONTENTS
[Stage 1] Overview of Organizational Development / Concretizing the Human Resource Vision
In lectures, participants will learn how to develop an organization which will serve as a framework in which to demonstrate leadership as a manager, while in group discussions, they will consider the concept of manager leadership, the human resource vision maintained by managers and the concept of followership.
[Stage 2] Specific Details of Organizational Development (1) Organizational Structure (2) Human Capital / Examples
Participants will learn in detail about aspects of organizational development, namely (1) organizational structure and (2) human capital, and learn to create systems necessary in (1) and (2) to demonstrate both leadership and followership. They will also gain a concrete understanding through introduction go excellent examples among Japanese companies.
[Stage 3] Corporate Ethics / Establishing Initiatives in Your Own Company
Participants will learn about the concept of corporate ethics and reaffirm their position as manager both within and without the organization. They will consider the route to organizational development and systematization required to enable them to realize the aspects learned thus far, and establish an action plan accordingly. In so doing, participants will clarify what kind of leadership they wish to demonstrate, in combination with their own leadership image.

The typical daily schedule consists of a three-hour morning session and a three-hour afternoon session. Some evening sessions may be organized after dinner. Please refer to the Tentative Schedule.

Remarks: (1) The above schedule is subject to change due to the convenience of lecturers and cooperating companies, or for other unavoidable reasons.
(2) Several group discussion sessions may be arranged in the evening.
(3) Though Saturday and Sundays are days off in general, lectures may be scheduled if deemed necessary.

7. ACCOMMODATION:
During the training period, participants will be accommodated at an AOTS Kenshu Center. The said conditions are subject to change due to unavoidable reasons. Please note that AOTS Kenshu Center canteens are closed on Sundays. The participant will receive ¥2,500 in cash per day for meals to cover this day. Participants in principle are requested to arrive in Japan the day before the commencement of the training program and leave Japan the day after the final day of the program. The after-mentioned participation fee estimate(s) reflect(s) the case when a participant lodges at an AOTS Kenshu Center. The suggested amounts may vary otherwise.

8. TRAINING COSTS (borne by participants):
1) Outline
AOTS training programs are financed by Official Development Assistance (ODA) subsidies from the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) together with the Participation Fee (Contributions from Participant) from the participants themselves. Participants shall pay the Participation Fee (Contributions from Participant) in cash to AOTS after their arrival in Japan.
The Training Costs will vary in accordance with the actual airfare and participants’ staying days. Therefore, the Participation Fee will be finalized after their arrival in Japan.
Please note that the subsidy from the Japanese government will be applicable from the day before the commencement of the training program to the final day of the training program in principle.
2) Breakdown
1. Participation Fee (Contributions from Participant)
The Participation Fee, which consists of Contribution to Allowance Costs and Contribution to Course Implementation Costs is the amount participants should bear.
Each participant will be requested to pay the Participation Fee to AOTS in cash after his/her arrival in Japan.
2. Training Costs
The Training Costs are the total amount of expenses to invite a participant to a training program in Japan.
It is the sum of (1) Allowance Costs, (2) Course Implementation Costs (3) Domestic Travel Allowance.
(1) Allowance Costs
a. International Travel Expenses
- Participants will purchase their own round-trip air tickets, concerning which there are no restrictions pertaining to boarding class.
- The subsidy from the Japanese government will cover the actual airfare up to the Standard Airfare Limits (the AOTS’s Standard Airfare Limits for 2011).
- Please refer to “Guidelines for Purchase of Air Tickets by the Participant” for the arrangement and the method of reimbursement for details.
- A participant is not allowed to overstay at city(ies) of a third country between participant home country and Japan for any reasons other than flight convenience. In such a case, AOTS might not reimburse the International Travel Expenses to the participant.
- International travel expenses are provided if an air ticket and its receipt satisfy required conditions; not provided if unsatisfying conditions or for a free ticket.
b. Accommodation and Meal Allowance
At the AOTS Kenshu Center
- AOTS will provide a participant with accommodation to the value of ¥8,500 per day with meals (lunch, dinner and breakfast), while the participant stays at an AOTS Kenshu Center.
- For the arrival day, AOTS will provide a participant with accommodation to the value of ¥7,700 per day with dinner and breakfast at an AOTS Kenshu Center.
During the study tour
- A participant will be provided with accommodation to the value of not exceeding ¥9,800 per day for their staying outside of the AOTS Kenshu Center.
(2) Course Implementation Costs
Course Implementation Costs, which is the cost to carry out a 2-week AOTS Management Training Program, is ¥372,000.
(3) Domestic Travel Allowance
- Expenses for a part of transportation fee between international airport in Japan and AOTS Kenshu Center
- AOTS will pay ¥1,900 in cash to a participant for the cost of travel between Narita Airport and AOTS Tokyo Kenshu Center (TKC).
3. The amount to be paid in cash to participants by AOTS
The following allowances and expenses will be paid in cash to each participant after his/her arrival in Japan.
(1) Subsidy for international travel expenses (when they are claimable for subsidy)
(2) Personal Allowance (¥800 x staying days)
(3) Meal Allowance for the study tour (each participant is requested to pay meals during the study tour from this Allowance.)
(4) Domestic Travel Allowance
4. Contribution to AOTS’s Administration Cost
The Contribution to AOTS’s Administration Costs is ¥1,800 per day for the participants, and covers administrative expenses. The participant is kindly requested to pay the Contribution to AOTS’s Administration Cost.
